Volleyball Recap: Ottawa Comes Up Short on the Road Against Dunlap

Ottawa had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dunlap Eagles. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13.

Ottawa's offense was headlined by Bella Knoll and Ashlynn Ganiere, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Jordyn Allen and her four assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kendall Biba, racking up two apiece.

Ottawa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Streator on the 28th. As for Dunlap, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Brimfield on the 27th.
