Volleyball Recap: Ottawa Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Ottawa had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dunlap Eagles. The Pirates have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13.

Ottawa's offense was headlined by Bella Knoll and Ashlynn Ganiere, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Jordyn Allen and her four assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kendall Biba, racking up two apiece.

Ottawa has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Streator on the 28th. As for Dunlap, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Brimfield on the 27th.
