Volleyball Recap: Castro Valley Triumphs

Castro Valley won the last time they faced Alameda and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 20-25, 25-15.

Hayden Holmgren paced Castro Valley's offense, picking up 11 kills. Holmgren got some help from Ethan Lunes and his 33 assists. Lunes was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Castro Valley's win bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Alameda, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 10-12.

Castro Valley has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Piedmont on the 24th. As for Alameda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against San Leandro on the 24th.
