Baseball Recap: Barberton Comes Up Short

Barberton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Copley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Magics fell just short of the Indians by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Magics haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Barberton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Javon Clayton, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Clayton is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Barberton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Copley, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.

Barberton has already played their next matchup (against Washington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Copley, they will square off against Tallmadge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
