Mayfair came tearing into Saturday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the South Pasadena Tigers as they made off with a 79-53 win. The Monsoons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, South Pasadena still got an impressive performance from Rod Khollesi, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 25 points and seven boards. Those 25 points gave Khollesi a new career-high. Henry Woltz also deserves some recognition as he scored his first point of the season.

Mayfair is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for South Pasadena, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-8.

When Mayfair and South Pasadena next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Mayfair will face off against La Mirada and their seven-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mayfair will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Meanwhile, South Pasadena will try to stop Blair's eight-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
