Basketball Recap: Eufaula Comes Up Short

Eufaula lost against Smiths Station back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eufaula Tigers fell 38-27 to the Smiths Station Panthers.

Leading Smiths Station to victory were Shamiya Oliver and Chantell Barnes. Oliver dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards, while Barnes dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Oliver is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Eufaula now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Smiths Station, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Eufaula Tigers take on the Enterprise Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Smiths Station, they will venture away from home to take on Shaw at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Smiths Station is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season.
