Trinity Academy and Council Grove squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Trinity Academy had to settle for second. They took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Council Grove Braves. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Council Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Finn Gant, who posted 16 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brycen Palmquist, who put up 17 points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Trinity Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Council Grove, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-8.

Trinity Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Council Grove, they will venture away from home to take on Nemaha Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
