After a string of four wins, Lexington's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troy Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Troy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-6.

Lexington has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Gatesville on the 23rd. As for Troy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Burnet on the 23rd.
