Soccer Game Preview: Cocoa vs. Oak Ridge

The Cocoa Tigers will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Oak Ridge Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cocoa's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Cocoa is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Eau Gallie on Monday. Cocoa and Eau Gallie finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw.

Cocoa's goal came courtesy of Sophia Bass, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Oak Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 8-0 to Cornerstone Charter Academy.

Cocoa's draw makes their record 3-1-1 this season. As for Oak Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Cocoa skirted past Oak Ridge 1-0 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Will Cocoa repeat their success, or does Oak Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
