Myles Harper leads Yucca Valley to victory over Santa Fe

Recap: Yucca Valley Trojans vs. Santa Fe Chiefs

The Yucca Valley Trojans extended their postseason success on Friday against the Santa Fe Chiefs. They put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 35-13 win. Winning may never get old, but Yucca Valley sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Myles Harper continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 208 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Harper really tore up the turf during one magnificent 79-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Javin Hudson, who picked up 97 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Yucca Valley's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Joseph Natzel and Brody Herrera who racked up four sacks between them.

Santa Fe's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Adrian Huguez, who threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Tariq Bush, who gained 100 total yards and a touchdown.

Yucca Valley pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.4 points per game. As for Santa Fe, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Yucca Valley will head out on the road to face off against Cerritos at 7:00 p.m. on November 25th. Cerritos will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. Santa Fe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
