Softball Recap: Hanford Wins Going Away Against Dinuba

Hanford played in-conference for the first time on Wednesday and got just the result they were looking for. They put the hurt on the Dinuba Emperors with a sharp 8-1 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bullpups as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kayleigh Roberts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits.

On the hitting side, Hanford got a big performance out of Jenna Douthat, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave Douthat a new career-high. Niyah Vazquez was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Hanford's win bumped their record up to 7-13-2. As for Dinuba, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-8.

Hanford has already played their next match, a 13-5 victory against Tulare Union on the 2nd. As for Dinuba, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-11 win against Tulare Western on the 2nd.
