Mount View had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Montcalm on Monday. The Golden Knights were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Generals. The win was familiar territory for the Golden Knights, who have now won five matchups in a row.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19, 25-15.

Leading Mount View to victory were Peyton Fowler and Hayleigh Green. Fowler had nine digs and five aces, while Green had 25 assists and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Fowler a new career-high in assists (six).

They weren't the only good servers: Mount View was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive contests.

Mount View's record now sits at 19-1. As for Montcalm, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-7.

Coincidentally, Mount View and Montcalm will both be playing Summers County the next time they take the court. The Generals will head out to face the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Golden Knights will host them at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
