If Kingston wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played North Mason, they should've done a better job of containing Danner Jones. The Bulldogs claimed a resounding 40-8 win over the Buccaneers with plenty of help from Jones, who threw for 242 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 68 yards and one TD on only eight carries. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up two sacks and making five total tackles.

North Mason didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Reid Shumaker and Caden Atencio. Shumaker got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

North Mason has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 points this season. As for Kingston, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
