Baseball Recap: Brockport Comes Up Short

Brockport entered their contest against Canandaigua Academy on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Braves by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blue Devils have suffered since April 10, 2024.

Brockport now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Canandaigua Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brockport will face off against Eastridge at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Canandaigua Academy, they will take on Batavia at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Braves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
