Softball Game Preview: Conway Springs Cardinals vs. Douglass Bulldogs

Conway Springs is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Monday. They will face off against the Douglass Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Neither Conway Springs nor Douglass posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Conway Springs kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against Haven, falling 16-1.

Meanwhile, Douglass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-1 to Bluestem. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Conway Springs skirted past Douglass 6-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Conway Springs repeat their success, or does Douglass has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
