Volleyball Recap: North Gaston Comes Up Short

North Gaston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Lincolnton Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Monday.

North Gaston took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-20.

Lincolnton was led to victory by Akira Connor and Karla Araya-Jiminez. Connor had ten digs, while Araya-Jiminez had ten digs. Araya-Jiminez has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

North Gaston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lincolnton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, North Gaston will take on Huss at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lincolnton, they will face off against Shelby at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
