Softball Recap: North Comes Up Short

North lost against Sonora back in April of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The North Saxons fell just short of the Sonora Raiders by a score of 7-6.

Corina Alvillar made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Tout, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

North's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Sonora, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

North wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-5 win against Santa Monica on the 24th. As for Sonora, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-2 victory against Marina on the 22nd.
