Recap: Step of Faith Christian Academy Chargers vs. Cross Schools Stingrays
The Step of Faith Christian Academy Chargers pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 69-60 to Cross Schools. Step of Faith Christian Academy lost against Cross Schools in their previous head to head last Thursday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 82-76 score last time.
Cross Schools' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Fulda, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose David Garcia, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Step of Faith Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cross Schools, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Holly Hill Academy the next time they take the court. Cross Schools will head out to face Holly Hill Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Step of Faith Christian Academy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
