Baseball Recap: Eastside Comes Up Short

Eastside's last matchup with St. Joseph Regional could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Friday. The Ghosts came up short against the Green Knights, falling 15-2. The Ghosts haven't had much luck with the Green Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Eastside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elier Ventura, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for St. Joseph Regional, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastside will challenge Hawthorne at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Joseph Regional, they will take on St. Peter's Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
