Basketball Recap: Lorain Titans vs. Midview Middies

If the Lorain Titans were riding high off their 67-44 takedown of the Garfield Heights Bulldogs last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lorain took a hard 55-40 fall against the Middies on Wednesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lorain in their matchups with the Middies: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Lorain lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kayla Mosley. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with four steals and two blocks. Mosley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Samone Whitt, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds.
Lorain has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Midview, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
Lorain will head out on the road to challenge the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Maple Heights focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Monday. As for Midview, they will be playing at home against the Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Berea-Midpark is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
