Recap: Kentridge Chargers vs. North Eugene Highlanders
The Kentridge Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to North Eugene.
Kentridge's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrea Pop, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. Pop also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Kalia Washington, who scored six points.
Kentridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for North Eugene, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Kentridge will look to defend their home court on Friday against Kennedy Catholic at 7:00 p.m. As for North Eugene, they will head out on the road to face off against South Salem at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
