Volleyball Game Preview: McGehee Hawks vs. Metairie Park Country Day Cajuns + How To Watch

McGehee hasn't had much luck against Metairie Park Country Day recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

McGehee not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 17th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Ursuline Academy with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Metairie Park Country Day faced Slidell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Cajuns sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Tigers. The Cajuns haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Metairie Park Country Day was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (106-105), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 18-25, 22-25, 15-11.

McGehee's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Metairie Park Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

McGehee suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Metairie Park Country Day when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
