It was a proper cat-fight when Tohatchi duked it out with Chinle on Tuesday. The Cougars snuck past the Wildcats with a 49-43 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Chinle lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jaiden Lee, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Burbank, who had eight points.

Tohatchi's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Chinle, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Tohatchi will be taking part in a tournament against Kirtland Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will be up against the Broncos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.13 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Chinle, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-40 victory against Window Rock on the 17th.
