Volleyball Recap: Calvary Lutheran Takes a Loss

Calvary Lutheran was the 3-0 winner over Columbia Independent when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Columbia Independent on Saturday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16.

Sydney Foutes paced Calvary Lutheran's offense, picking up four kills. Foutes really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with five.

Calvary Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 14-7-2. As for Columbia Independent, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.

Calvary Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Russellville on the 18th. As for Columbia Independent, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Eugene on the 18th.
