Basketball Recap: Johnathan Ogden's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Meeteetse over Dubois

Meeteetse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dubois Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-48 two weeks ago.

Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Johnathan Ogden, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 17 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Ogden a new career-high in points. Aiden Elliott was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Meeteetse smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matchups.

Meeteetse's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Dubois, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

As of now, neither Meeteetse nor Dubois have any future games scheduled.
