Volleyball Recap: Ord Chanticleers vs. Wisner-Pilger Gators
After flying high against Doniphan-Trumbull last Thursday, Ord came back down to earth. The Ord Chanticleers fell just short of the Wisner-Pilger Gators by a score of 3-2 on Monday.
While Ord ultimately came up short, they really made Wisner-Pilger work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-13, 23-25, 23-25, 15-9.
Wisner-Pilger was led to victory by Hannah Grenier and Ramsey Arduser. Grenier had 13 digs and two aces, while Arduser had 20 digs, three aces, and a kill. That's the most aces Grenier has posted in her last eight matches.
Ord's defeat dropped their record down to 10-21. As for Wisner-Pilger, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-18.
Ord does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wisner-Pilger, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Norfolk Catholic on the 28th.
