Basketball Recap: Micah Glaze's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Victory Christian Academy over Cornerstone Christian Academy

Victory Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cornerstone Christian Academy Crusaders. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 62-49.

Victory Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Micah Glaze, who posted 15 points. Coby Glaze was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Cornerstone Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Farthing, who put up 16 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Montgomery, who had 12 points and five boards.

Victory Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, they moved to 1-8 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.
