Volleyball Preview: Tri-City Tornadoes vs. Mt. Olive Wildcats

Tri-City has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will square off against the Mt. Olive Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.

Last Monday, Tri-City came up short against Riverton and fell 2-0.

While Tri-City had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Mt. Olive earned a 2-0 victory over Bunker Hill on Monday.

Mt. Olive never let Bunker Hill on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22.

Mt. Olive kept the net locked down and finished the game with 11 blocks. That's the most blocks they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Tri-City has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season. As for Mt. Olive, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-20 record this season.
