Soccer Game Preview: Shorecrest Prep vs. Lakewood

The Shorecrest Prep Chargers will take on the Lakewood Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakewood took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Shorecrest Prep, who comes in off a win.

Shorecrest Prep's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Bell Creek Academy by a score of 2-0. Two seems to be a good number for Shorecrest Prep as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Charlie Cowan and Leonardo Fernandez-Pallante scored both of Shorecrest Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Lakewood lost 6-2 to Northeast on Tuesday. Lakewood have struggled against Northeast recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Lakewood now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Shorecrest Prep, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Everything went Shorecrest Prep's way against Lakewood in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, as Shorecrest Prep made off with an 8-0 victory. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
