Baseball Recap: Burlington City Comes Up Short

After flying high against Willingboro last Monday, Burlington City came back down to earth. The Blue Devils came up short against the Pemberton Hornets on Wednesday, falling 17-7. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Aiden Ohler stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Jaden Meredith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Burlington City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Pemberton, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Burlington City will face off against Westampton Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Pemberton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against LEAP Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
