Volleyball Recap: Glenwood Gets the Win

Glenwood was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Clay Panthers. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (96-90) Glenwood actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 8-25, 25-20, 15-3.

Daisy Hamilton paced Glenwood's offense, picking up 13 kills. Hamilton got some help from Mya Truitt and her 12 assists. Truitt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Glenwood's record now sits at 4-7. As for Clay, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Glenwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Valley on the 15th. As for Clay, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Notre Dame on the 16th.
