Basketball Recap: Make It 13 in a Row for Wenonah

Wenonah had won 12 straight games and Samarian Franklin did her part to make it 13 on Monday. The Wenonah Dragons blew past the John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers 66-35 thanks in part to Franklin, who shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 38 points and ten steals. Her evening made it 15 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Aariyanah Parker, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 13 games she's played.

Wenonah has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season. As for John Carroll Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.

Wenonah will challenge Midfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Midfield is on a eight-game streak of home wins, Wenonah a ten-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. John Carroll Catholic has already played their next match (against Woodlawn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
