Volleyball Recap: Pitman Beats Franklin for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Pitman had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Franklin Wildcats on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Pride, who have now won six matchups in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Pitman got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 22-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-9.

Maryn Hall paced Pitman's offense, picking up 23 kills. Hall got some help from Nicoletta Dowd and her 25 assists. Aila Reich controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Pitman's win bumped their record up to 27-9. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-11.

Pitman has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against St. Mary's on the 30th. Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
