Basketball Recap: New Mexico Military Institute Takes a Loss

New Mexico Military Institute was the 54-47 winner over Tularosa when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The New Mexico Military Institute Colts fell just short of the Tularosa Wildcats by a score of 51-49 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Colts have suffered against the Wildcats since February 12, 2020.

New Mexico Military Institute's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-10. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 2.33 points. As for Tularosa, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Coming up, New Mexico Military Institute is taking a road trip to face off against Dexter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tularosa, they will square off against Ruidoso at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
