Basketball Game Preview: Patchogue-Medford Raiders vs. William Floyd Colonials

The Patchogue-Medford Raiders will start their season against the William Floyd Colonials. Tip off is scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

William Floyd is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Walt Whitman on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. William Floyd came up short against Walt Whitman, falling 63-40. The Colonials were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

Their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

As for Patchogue-Medford, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the right side of .500 (8-7), and they're hoping to kick off an even more successful campaign this year.
