Softball Recap: Oberlin Comes Up Short

Oberlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Leesville Wampus Cats. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Oberlin's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Leesville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

Looking ahead, Oberlin will take on Grand Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.91 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Leesville, they will face off against Eunice at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
