Basketball Recap: Riverview Takes a Loss

Riverview suffered their biggest loss since December 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 65-45 to the Chelsea Bulldogs. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Riverview lost, don't look at Kate Patterson. Despite the final result, she went 9 of 19 en route to 24 points and six boards. Those 24 points gave Patterson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Averi Westbay, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Riverview's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Chelsea, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Riverview will square off against Airport at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Airport will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Riverview surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chelsea, they will welcome Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
