Baseball Recap: West Central Has No Trouble Against North White

West Central barely beat North White the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans blew past the Vikings 9-3 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won seven in a row.

Zane Wall was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. West Central is undefeated when Wall posts eight or more strikeouts, but 4-9 otherwise. Wall was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Teagan Holle, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of West Central's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Christian Hughes, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

West Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for North White, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
