Softball Recap: Strafford Comes Up Short

Diamond hit Strafford with a five-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians fell 10-5 to the Wildcats. The Indians have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Dalyce Scrivener made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. Kaelyn Rhodes also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Strafford's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Diamond, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-4.

Coming up, Strafford will face off against Fair Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Diamond, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lockwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
