Basketball Recap: New Iberia Comes Up Short

New Iberia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 40-21 fall against the Barbe Buccaneers. The match marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

New Iberia's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Barbe, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 28-3.

Looking ahead, New Iberia will take on Sam Houston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Barbe, they will welcome Lafayette at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lafayette will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Barbe surely won't give up without a fight.
