Volleyball Recap: East Lincoln Comes Up Short

East Lincoln lost against Hickory back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs came up short against the Red Tornadoes, falling 3-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18, 25-16.

Hickory was led to victory by Ryan Hines and Ella Stephens. Hines had 15 assists and six digs, while Stephens had five assists. Hines is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Emma Mullis also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

East Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Hickory, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-4.

East Lincoln has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Maiden on the 7th. As for Hickory, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Alexander Central on the 6th.
