Baseball Game Preview: John Hardin Bulldogs vs. Francis Parker Wyverns

The John Hardin Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Francis Parker Wyverns at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. John Hardin has given up an average of 12.1 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Central Hardin hit John Hardin with a seven-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs came up short against the Bruins, falling 14-4. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly ten runs.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Francis Parker). They were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over Shawnee on Tuesday. The Wyverns haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Francis Parker's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for John Hardin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.

John Hardin took their win against Francis Parker in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 14-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
