Football Recap: Galena Comes Up Short

Galena came into this matchup off a tough 32-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Forreston Cardinals by a score of 22-20 on Friday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Roman Romer threw for 128 yards and one touchdown.

Galena's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Forreston, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Galena will take on rival Stockton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Forreston is set to face off against their familiar foe Pearl City-Eastland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
