Preview: Brawley Wildcats vs. Holtville Vikings
Brawley is 8-1 against Holtville since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Brawley Wildcats will be playing at home against the Holtville Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Brawley didn't have too much trouble with Southwest EC at home as they won 46-29.
It was another big night for Domanic Vallejo, who scored 20 points along with three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 16 games he's played. Ethan Flores was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Holtville had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 43-30 victory over Southwest EC on Friday. The win was just what Holtville needed coming off of a 54-27 defeat in their prior matchup.
Brawley pushed their record up to 11-10 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Holtville, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Everything came up roses for Brawley against Holtville when the teams last played last Tuesday as the squad secured a 54-27 victory. Does Brawley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Holtville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
