Clifton extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 5-10-1 in the process. They came up short against the West Trojans, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 on Tuesday.

As for West, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-14-1. Considering they have won nine contests by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For West's part, Laynie Davis made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Davis has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, West got a massive performance out of Mabri Warren, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave Warren a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyla Shoppach, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

As of now, neither Clifton nor West have any future games scheduled.
