Softball Game Preview: Lancaster Bruins vs. Blythewood Bengals

The Lancaster Bruins will square off against the Blythewood Bengals at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lancaster came out on top against South Pointe last Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run fourth inning. The Bruins blew past the Stallions 17-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.

Samaria Jackson was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Kasyah Stover, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Lancaster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

Meanwhile, while Blythewood put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Ridge View. The Bengals put the hurt on the Blazers with a sharp 20-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bengals in their matchups with the Blazers: they've now won nine in a row.

Blythewood's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Lancaster, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
