Basketball Recap: Micah Gowe Key Part of Team Effort in Wolverines Win

With a playoff win on the line, San Francisco Waldorf rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-44 victory over the Round Valley Mustangs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2019.

San Francisco Waldorf's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Micah Gowe led the charge by going 7-for-14 to rack up 17 points. Gowe continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Finian Hudgens was another key player, going 7-for-8 on his way to 16 points.

San Francisco Waldorf's record is now 8-11. As for Round Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

San Francisco Waldorf is taking a road trip to face off against St. Bernard's at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Round Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
