Impact Academy of Arts & Technology scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Leadership Public Schools Richmond Pumas, falling 16-9. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pumas apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2015.

Impact Academy of Arts & Technology is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Leadership Public Schools Richmond, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Impact Academy of Arts & Technology will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mare Island Tech Academy at 4:00 p.m. on April 9. Mare Island Tech Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.56 runs per game on average), something Impact Academy of Arts & Technology will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Leadership Public Schools Richmond, they will head out to challenge Aspire Richmond Ca. College Preparatory Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
