Preview: Calvary Baptist Academy Patriots vs. St. Albans Red Dragons
The Calvary Baptist Academy Patriots's road trip will continue as they head out to face the St. Albans Red Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th. Hopefully Calvary Baptist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
Calvary Baptist Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They claimed a resounding 78-34 victory over Hannan on the road. The win was just what Calvary Baptist Academy needed coming off of a 70-48 loss in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calvary Baptist Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matthew DeGroff, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 21 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points DeGroff has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of James DeGroff, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Even though St. Albans has not done well against Cabell Midland recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. St. Albans managed a 44-40 victory over Cabell Midland. The win made it back-to-back wins for St. Albans.
Calvary Baptist Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season. St. Albans' record now sits at 10-8.
