Basketball Game Preview: West Point-Beemer Cadets vs. Stanton Mustangs

West Point-Beemer has gone 8-2 against Stanton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cadets will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Stanton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on West Point-Beemer, who comes in off a win.

West Point-Beemer is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Thursday. They snuck past Arlington with a 43-38 win.

West Point-Beemer can attribute much of their success to Peyton Penrose, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Penrose a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Doggett, who posted six points.

Meanwhile, Stanton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 51-47 to Tekamah-Herman. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Everything came up roses for West Point-Beemer against Stanton in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured an 81-37 victory. Do the Cadets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
